      <image:title>Our Focus - Life Transitions</image:title>
<image:caption>Life transitions are a normal part of your human journey. Sometimes they can be challenging and cause stress. Whether you just graduated from college, recently moved to a new city, changing careers, preparing for parenthood or marriage, or chasing a dream, these are all big changes that can be difficult to take on alone. If you need support to get through a difficult transition in your life, we encourage you to give us a call. Let's talk about it. One of our therapists is ready to meet you where you are, to listen to your fears and concerns, to help you recognize your strengths, and to help you realize your personal goals and dreams.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Our Focus - Relationship Issues</image:title>
<image:caption>Challenges arise in relationships of every kind. It is not uncommon. Sometimes, challenges can even help us grow closer in our relationships with others, depending on how we respond. Better understanding our thoughts and feelings when facing a challenge or conflict is the first step towards responding and communicating in a healthy way. Healthy relationships depend on healthy communication. Individual therapy can be a great place to start this process. If you feel ready for that step we invite you to reach out, so we can work together on improving the relationships in your life.</image:caption>

<image:title>Our Focus - Schizophrenia and other Psychotic Disorders</image:title>
<image:caption>Schizophrenia, along with other psychosis-related disorders or experiences are often misunderstood. And unfortunately for many this also means a treatment plan focused solely on medication. Therapy for individuals living with schizophrenia can provide meaningful support beyond symptom management. In our sessions we will explore your experiences, discuss your personal and mental health goals and create plans to help you achieve those goals. We will support you in developing healthy and effective ways to better manage and navigate psychosis-related and non-psychosis related stressors.. Our work together will help with improving communication and relationships in your day-to-day, in addition to fostering a sense of purpose and autonomy in your personal healing journey. If you feel this kind of support could be helpful for you, we encourage you to reach out to one of our therapists - we are ready to meet you wherever you may be in your journey of healing, discovery, and growth.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapists - Carlos Paul Duarte, LCSW</image:title>
<image:caption>I am a clinical supervisor and mental health therapist committed to supporting my clients on their journey of learning and personal growth. My areas of focus include working with adults who are navigating difficult life transitions, facing challenges in their relationships, or experiencing psychosis. My clinical experiences range from providing psychotherapy to adults in outpatient clinics, and crisis intervention and group psychotherapy to adults and adolescents in inpatient psychiatric hospitals. I have also worked with our houseless population across LA County, providing outreach, brief psychotherapy, and referrals to community resources and mental health services. I started Carlos Paul Therapy in 2021 and since then have focused my work on helping clients experiencing relationship challenges, life transitions, and psychosis. My approach when working with all clients is client-centered and strengths-based. I value the person-in-environment perspective, so I can better understand my clients and their mental health in the context of their environment and experiences, and not just through their behavior and psyche. I offer individual therapy over video, phone and in-person. For clients interested in meeting in-person, I also offer walk-and-talk therapy sessions at Griffith Park.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapists - Richard Carranza, ACSW</image:title>
<image:caption>Hi, I’m Richard Carranza, ACSW, a bilingual (English/Spanish) Associate Clinical Social Worker providing therapy through telehealth. I work with adults, with a strong focus on men’s mental health, relationships, and professionals navigating work stress or burnout. I have 10+ years of experience working in settings including community mental health and child welfare, and I’ve supported a wide range of individuals and families. I also bring leadership experience as a coach, which helps me stay grounded, direct, and practical in the way I support people. My style is open-ended, and I work well with clients who want both: a space to process what they’re going through and a plan for how to move forward. Whether you’re looking for short-term support or deeper long-term change, my goal is that you leave therapy feeling safer in yourself, more confident, and proud that you’re showing up for yourself and the people you care about. When people start therapy with me, it’s often because they’re trying to make sense of what they’re feeling, learn how to manage their emotions, and finally stop carrying everything alone. It’s common to experience emotions that can feel confusing, uncomfortable, or even “off limits.” I get that — and therapy can be a space where you don’t have to perform, pretend, or have it all figured out. We can slow things down, get clear about what’s really going on, and build tools that actually help. I became a social worker because it felt like a natural fit. I genuinely enjoy listening and working alongside people as they navigate the human experience. Life can be heavy, but it’s also meaningful — and it’s powerful to watch people grow into stronger, healthier versions of themselves. To me, healing looks like being able to grow and evolve from where we are right now, without shame, and without having to do it alone. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and collaborative. Therapy with me is open, real, and centered around your goals. Depending on what you’re working through, I may draw from: mindfulness-based strategies somatic/embodiment tools narrative therapy solution-focused approaches motivational interviewing If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start moving with more clarity and strength, I’d be honored to support you. I’m currently accepting new telehealth clients in English and Spanish.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Therapists - Juan Ramon Napoles Diaz, ACSW</image:title>
<image:caption>My name is Juan Napoles, and I am an LA-based associate clinical social worker with a passion for helping others overcome challenges and strive for equanimity in the face of adversity. First and foremost, I would like to acknowledge your efforts in taking the initiative to find an adequate mental health therapist that can best address your needs. This is your first step towards reaching your goals, and you should be extremely proud of yourself. I know this may be an overwhelmingly stressful and scary process (trust me, I've been there), but I can assure you that this self-exploration odyssey you're embarking on can be rewarding, cathartic, and alleviating. Let's be real, therapy alone cannot absolve a person of the oppressive systems that may perpetuate one's complex trauma. However, it can provide you with the skills to develop coping mechanisms and techniques to help you navigate through these various systems, while prioritizing your mental stability. As a social worker by trade, I have vehemently been an advocate of mental health and social justice in various capacities and with diverse populations. My experience working in the fields of education, social services, developmental disabilities, child welfare, gang prevention, Youth Development, as well as working with people affected by a cancer diagnosis has equipped me with the tools to help any person from any background remain hopeful, become empowered, and see the light within themselves. Life transitions may be difficult, and the road to reaching a stable state of mind could be arduous and ongoing, but the ability to breathe and let go of your worries is immeasurably fulfilling and freeing. My approach to therapy is person-centered, holistic, solution-focused, humanistic, integrative, and most importantly, personalized. Your life narrative and unique situations deserve a treatment approach that is personal, targeted, intentional--YOURS. I would be honored to accompany you in your mental health journey to find your most optimal and authentic self. I look forward to conversing with you.</image:caption>
